Jessica & Rob's Maui Vow Renewal!

Jessica & Rob have been married for 10 years and decided it was time to come to Maui and celebrate with a Maui vow renewal! We thought that was a grand idea! They were re-married at Ironwoods Beach last week by Reverend Kimo Kirkman with their two beautiful children in tow. It was a sweet ceremony and then time for some family portraits. Mother Nature had something else in mind... rain... but we still had a blast with them! Kristen & Jerry's Maui Vow Renewal

Kristen & Jerry met us at DT Fleming Beach for their 1 year Maui Vow Renewal. This bright cheerful couple was so excited for this celebration. They had dreamed of having a beach wedding but last year they were surprised by a rain storm that forced them off the sand. So they're back for a do-over with sunset pictures! Kristin planned the whole thing behind Jerry's back and around lunchtime on the day of, she surprised him that they were having a vow renewal. He took it so well and it was wonderful seeing this surprise celebration come together so seamlessly. Their beautiful daughters were standing at their feet as they said their vows to each other. So beautiful! Thank you so much Kristen & Jerry for choosing us for your Vow Renewal in Maui!

Rich & Tom's 10 Year Maui Vow Renewal at Po'olenalena Beach

We are so excited to share Rich and Tom's Maui vow renewal at Po'olenalena Beach! This adorable couple had a civil union 10 years ago. Last week on one of Maui's most beautiful beaches they renewed their vows and signed a marriage license! Their Hawaiian ceremony was performed by Charles Nahale and it included the exchange of traditional leis. We also loved listening to the beautiful Hawaiian conch shell, blown at the beginning and end of the ceremony and a song performed on the ukelele. Rich and Tom also decided to incorporate the Hawaiian Hand Washing tradition into their ceremony. The hand washing tradition is a purification ritual, symbolizing a clean slate so the couple can enter their marriage with a mutual understanding of the forgiveness that will be required to keep their relationship healthy and happy. After their ceremony, we took their couples portraits on the beach and popped open a bottle of champagne!
